Teenagers face many problems in our new home country and the one we, as parents, should worry about the most is addiction. In order for middle and high school youth along with their parents and servants to recognize different kinds of addiction including drug addiction.

St. Abanoub Coptic Orthodox Church of Springfield, VA, will have the blessing of offering a remote presentation on Drug Addiction by Dr. Suzy Bibawy.

Dr. Bibawy is an Internal Medicine Doctor who has gotten her education and college degree from Cairo, Egypt but trained and worked in New York. She served as the director of the Detoxification Center at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, Staten Island, NY for fifteen years and she still serves as an addiction specialist at the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association).

The presentation explains how to avoid various addictions, the effects of addiction on the adolescents’ brains, and possible treatment. All facts are backed with stories from real life that Dr. Suzy had witnessed and worked with over the years.
